All Saints Catholic Parish
Our vision statement is: “We are called to be a faith-filled family, who acts justly, loves tenderly, forgives freely, and walks humbly with our God.”
This statement, based on Micah 6:8, serves as a guiding principle for our church community. It encourages us to strive to embody these Christian ideals through our parish ministries. These ministries are carried out by parishioners within our commissions and committees and by volunteers from across Evansville, all under the guidance of our Parish Pastoral Council.
All Saints Catholic Parish was established on July 1, 2015, through the merger of two of Evansville’s oldest parishes: St. Anthony Parish and St. Joseph Parish. This merger strengthened both communities and positioned the new parish to have a greater impact in Evansville as a testament to our faith. The union of the two churches was brought to fruition under the watchful and gentle guidance of Father John Davidson, affectionately known to the communities as Father Jay.
Father Jay was ordained in 1964 and began his ministry with Saint Anthony in 1991 and Saint Joseph in 1992. He is renowned in the City of Evansville for his kindness and hospitality, as well as his unwavering commitment to Social Justice. He actively involved volunteers and other congregations in his efforts to advocate for the disenfranchised and marginalized of Evansville and surrounding counties. Despite his retirement in 2023, his ministry and his drive for justice did not cease.
Whether you are a newcomer to the area, a returning parishioner, or simply curious about the Catholic faith, we warmly invite you to experience the love, joy, and sense of community that All Saints Parish offers. We welcome everyone seeking solace from the world’s chaos in the respite of the peace, love, and the consolation of Jesus Christ.
There’s always a place for you at All Saints Catholic Parish.
